Browse Wakulla 72-Hour Releases

A Wakulla County 72 hour release list is useful when one calendar day is too narrow, especially after a weekend or holiday. WCSO does not publish a verified three-day release page on its website, so the official route is to request the daily custody records that cover the whole interval. Search with exact start and end points. Then compare the sheriff record with current custody, court, VINE, or state corrections data as needed. Someone released in the last 72 hours may have gone home, entered supervision, or moved to another custodian, and those outcomes should never be treated as the same event.

Wakulla County 72-Hour Release Window

No WCSO browser view labeled 72-hour releases, recent releases, or released inmates was verified. The official Corrections page provides jail information without a web roster or archive. A three-day answer therefore comes from existing jail records, not from an invented rolling feed. Request three consecutive daily Commitment and Release Lists, or ask whether WCSO already maintains an export that covers the chosen interval.

Define the range with inclusive start and end timestamps. “Last three days” can mean three calendar dates, the prior 72 clock hours, or a weekend plus the next workday. A request such as “12:00 a.m. Friday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday” removes that ambiguity. Florida public-records law provides access to existing records. It does not compel the Sheriff’s Office to design a new custom report, calculate a new field, or answer a question that was never recorded.

Use a fixed interval. Three dated daily lists can be compared and preserved; a vague rolling-window request may shift while it is processed.

Check Wakulla Releases Over Three Days

A broad window catches more events, but it also increases the chance of matching the wrong person or misreading a transfer. Build the result from the official daily series, then verify the release method for each relevant entry.

  1. Write the exact inclusive beginning and ending timestamps, including the dates. Decide whether the request is for three calendar days or a true 72-hour interval.
  2. Ask WCSO for each “Commitment and Release List, Item #22” within the range, or for an existing jail-management export that covers that same range.
  3. For a person of interest, request the release sheet and ask for the release date, time, method, destination, and agency accepting custody.
  4. Call Corrections at (850) 745-7100 if current status is urgent. Use full name, date of birth, and booking number when available.
  5. Compare the response with Florida VINE, the Wakulla criminal case, or FDC records when a court action, state transfer, or supervision may explain the exit.

These steps answer the multi-day feed question. They do not replace a full name-based custody history. The Wakulla County released-inmate lookup explains the broader county, state, federal, immigration, and court paths for one person.

Wakulla 72-Hour Release Fields

Florida GS2 Item 22 defines the daily list and the fields it may contain. WCSO’s actual output may be shorter, and lawful exemptions or redactions can apply. Across three lists, keep the original date boundary attached to every row so duplicate bookings, repeated names, and events near midnight can be reconciled.

FieldHow to read it across 72 hours
DatePlaces the event in one daily report and helps resolve midnight boundary issues.
Booking numberSeparates people with similar names and links an entry to the booking or release sheet.
Name, race, sex, ageIdentity facts that may appear, but should be checked against a stronger identifier.
Charge and courtShows the custody context, not whether the case later ended in dismissal or conviction.
Bond and returnable dateMay reflect a pretrial release path and a later court date.
How releasedCan distinguish bond, recognizance, time served, court action, or transfer when fully recorded.

A short release code may need the underlying order or jail record. Bond ends the jail hold subject to the case; it does not decide guilt or close the charge. Time served usually means the custodial term ordered by the court was met, though probation or another duty may continue. A destination that names FDC, ICE, USMS, or another county means custody moved rather than ended.

Note: Match all three daily reports by booking number when possible; names alone can merge separate people or separate bookings.

Wakulla Weekend Release Lag

A 72-hour window is most helpful when a release was authorized outside ordinary public-counter hours. Wakulla is in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit, whose assignment material uses a circuit-wide duty judge for weekend and holiday first appearances. A bond or release can be authorized while the clerk counter is closed, then appear in the online case chronology later. The jail is the first source for urgent custody status; the filed court order is the later source for legal authority.

Daily lists also need clear boundaries. An event processed near midnight may fall on a different report from the court order, transport, or family notice. Ask for actual release time on the individual sheet. If the person was sent to another custodian, the destination may appear only after the transfer paperwork is complete. Florida VINE can report an event, but its data can lag and the label must be verified with the reporting agency.

The live WCSO app does not solve this archive problem. Official material confirms an inmate-search feature, but not a three-day released tab, a release-photo archive, or a stated refresh cycle. A negative app result after a weekend remains ambiguous.

Request Wakulla Three-Day Records

Send the request through the WCSO Public Information page. It lists Geneva Stokley at gstokley@wcso.org and (850) 745-7158 for written or digital records. WCSO’s separate custodian FAQ lists (850) 745-7135. A mailed request can identify the Public Records Custodian, Wakulla County Sheriff’s Office, 15 Oak Street, Crawfordville, FL 32327.

A focused request should name each date and the exact GS2 record series. Ask for electronic copies of three daily lists, and add a person-specific release sheet only when needed. State that a preexisting export is acceptable if it covers the same inclusive interval and preserves release method and destination fields. If information is withheld, ask for the nonexempt remainder and the statutory basis for each redaction.

Section 119.07 requires prompt acknowledgment and a good-faith response, not completion within a set number of days. WCSO lists arrest-report copies at $0.15 per page or the amount allowed by law. Broad requests that require extensive labor or technology can carry a reasonable special-service charge, so ask for an estimate before work begins.

The official custodian page is shown below to identify the correct agency route.

The custodian route preserves access to existing daily records even without a WCSO browser archive.

Wakulla Release Lists Outlast Rosters

The key local data quirk is the gap between web access and record retention. No official recent-release page was found, yet GS2 defines the daily Commitment and Release List and requires it to be kept for at least one anniversary year after release. Booking records and inmate-incarceration records have the same minimum. The jail docket book is permanent and may preserve summary name, sex, inmate number, offense type, and arresting officer.

This official route remains useful when a current-custody view drops a name. Ask first for the three daily lists. If the precise release outcome is unclear, add the release sheet, booking card, transfer order, and court release or bond order. Records involving active investigations, protected personal data, juveniles, medical facts, or other exempt material may be redacted, but the custodian should produce the segregable public remainder.

Online absence does not prove destruction. It also does not prove release. The record can show that someone left the Wakulla County Detention Facility for FDC, another jail, ICE, or USMS. Read “how released” with the accepting agency and the current status in the receiving system.

Note: The retention schedule supports an official three-day reconstruction even though Wakulla County does not publish a rolling 72-hour feed.

Wakulla Release or Transfer

A local detainee may leave on bond, recognizance, dismissal, time served, or sentence completion. The same jail departure may instead be a transfer. WCSO describes local and immigration sections and a USMS contract for federal pretrial prisoners. A state sentence can lead to FDC intake, and an outside-county hold can send the person to another jail.

For only the newest calendar day, the Wakulla County 24-hour release check uses a tighter request and same-day verification sequence. The three-day route is best when the event date is uncertain or the weekend creates reporting lag.
